The new “Airborne Sunshade Working Group” met for the first time on 20th November 2025
The Airborne Sunshade Working Group emerged from a discussion following the SkyScroll presentation to the Planetary Sunshade Foundation on 17th October 2025, and has now had it’s first online meeting.
The ASWG is focussed on developing the idea of an airborne sunshade, a stratospheric platform for shading the Earth, which is a form of geoengineering, sometimes classified as “Geoengineering 2.0”.
The current members of the working group have decided to continue the collaboration with ongoing bimonthly meetings
